I remember the first time I tried lavender, it was in the form
of a
little shortbread cookie from a popular bakery in Capitola, California, a quaint
beach town very close to where I grew up.
Literally a ten minute drive from the beautiful and historic
town of Trinidad, we adored our
little beach resort — the Club Amigo Costasur.
About five miles from Boulogne lies the
little French seaside
town of Hardelot, within the Opal Coast and close to a lovely stretch
of golden
beaches.
I first had it two summers ago when I was staying in a sleepy

of Sweden and popped into a café during a rare afternoon to myself.

In truth, the area is delightful in that it is a
little beach town that is just a few hours south
of Nogales Arizona.
Great
little resort complex set in gorgeous gardens a short walk from a
little beach and about 20 km from the renowned gem - dealing
town of Chantaburi.
WHAT IT»S LIKE: From the outside, it doesn't look like much: a weathered brick - and - adobe hacienda hidden down a dusty unpaved side street in Todos Santos, a
little beach town 90 minutes north
of Los Cabos.

little shop in
town, a selection
of ice creams are always a treat, grab one and head to the
beach to soak up the setting sun while soaking up the melting ice cream.
Leave the popular (and expensive)
beach and island
towns of Southeast Asia to luxury travelers — you'll find plenty
of cheaper shores to visit when you go a
little off the beaten path.
I just love Paternoster and it must be an inherited family trait because I have photos
of myself as a
little girl (so about 33 years ago now) walking along the
beach with my Dad and another walking down a road in the
town with my parents and their friends deck...

of the best spots to take a break and check out some highlights include: visiting Point Reyes National Seashore and close by Point Reyes Station, the Russian fort in Sonoma called Fort Ross, the gorgeous coastal tidepools at Point Arena and then to the lovely historic
town of Mendocino city and even just a
little north to Fort Bragg and the cool glass sand
beach.
