Typically a rich buttery sponge cake with apple slices wedged in the batter, it's as simple as can be, requiring little more than good ingredients to create a comforting cake.

Each cake is dusted with a little powdered sugar; in just two bites, tangy lemon and sweet berries are brought together in the best of summer pairings.

A break every afternoon that includes a little cake or muffin or donut with some tea or coffee, to re-energize you for the rest of your day.

Make a «berry» delicious cake with a little help from a mix.

To tell you a little bit, this bundt cake is actually a version of the cake that I make for my husband every year, he doesn't like frosting or anything on his cake and I always make him a simple bundt but full with flavor.

I fell in love with the boozy little cakes of goodness in the Bahamas many years ago, and have made it a point to make at least one a year.

I like to top my cakes with a little avocado cream — it adds the perfect tangy element to these super savory cakes.

These puffs are like little cakes, flavored with cocoa and espresso.

Yes, it's gluten free so that I can enjoy cake with my little dude, but it's also sweetened only with fruit and honey, even the tangy cream cheese frosting that is lightened up with Greek yogurt and had just a hint of warm cinnamon flavor to complement the cake.

So unfortunately I can't seem to find white whole wheat flour in my country and buying it online is not an option for me so I tried to substitute it with whole wheat flour (particularly in your carrot cake) using the correct pour and level measurement method as recommended but I found the end result to be cake that was a little doughy, absolutely delicious but a little doughy and I might try measuring using a kitchen scale in the future but what do you recommend in this case to combat this?

I'm a little obsessed with crumb cakes.

These cookies taste like little cocoa cakes, but are made with clean ingredients like whole wheat flour, oats, cocoa, olive oil, honey and almond butter, and packed with cranberries and pistachios.

But we persevere and swirl a little strawberry jam into our icing with big mini ombre cake dreams.

They come out soft, moist and almost cake like and you can dust them with a little powdered sugar if you like or eat plain.

And while I can get DOWN with a chocolate cake any day, I wanted to find something a little different and breakfast - appropriate.

I want something like birthday cake for my little guy, but not over the top with refined sugar.
