I served mine with some shaved chocolate and
a little coconut yoghurt.
DELICIOUS!!!! I'd run out of honey and don't have stevia and so used 3/4 cup dark brown sugar as replacement w
a little coconut yoghurt to make up the wetness of honey.
I love it served with
a little coconut yoghurt or a dollop of ice cream (I recently found an amazing cashew based raspberry ripple, which is a dream!)

This
little crumble is the perfect midweek dessert and the leftovers make for a wonderful breakfast, especially with a dollop of
coconut yoghurt.
Or just skip the
yoghurt altogether, add a
little more
coconut cream, and go ahead with the recipe ♥ if you have never made your own
yoghurt before, it is surprisingly simple and in my experience way, way more delicious than anything on the supermarket shelves.
In the meantime, to make it easier and mess - free to fill the popsicles with
yoghurt, place the
coconut yoghurt in a ziplock bag, snip a
little corner of the bag with scissors and set aside.
While we're not fans of Nudie's sugary juices, we're a
little obsessed with their
coconut yoghurt.
For the boats 4 medium chicken thighs 4 black peppercorns 2 large garlic cloves, peeled 2 tsp ghee or
coconut oil 2 medium onions, finely chopped 1/4 tsp fresh ginger, chopped 1 tsp tomato puree 7 whole dried unsulphured apricots 4 tbsp full - fat probiotic
yoghurt 1/4 tsp fresh lemon juice 1 small handful fresh coriander, roughly chopped (save a
little for garnishing) 2 tbsp flaked almonds, toasted 6 baby gem lettuces, washed and dried Salt and black pepper
Top with seasonal fruits, extra basil (smash the leaves a
little between your palms to release the oils and aroma) and good quality
coconut yoghurt (you can make your own with the recipe in A Nourishing Morning).
Ice them with
coconut yoghurt or cashew cream for a
little extra indulgence!
Now I still eat
little or nothing before a run but I eat things like eggs, avocado, vegetables, fish, meat (prepared in
coconut oil), nuts, tahin for breakfast, lunch and dinner and sometimes apples, grapefruit, French / Greek cow / sheep cheese and Greek - or sheep
yoghurt.
Other substitution ideas that I've used in other recipes are sweet potato puree (use white sweet potato so it's not orange),
yoghurt (I make mine with
coconut milk), banana puree, or I've used water or milk + a
little ground chia or linseed (a bit like a watery chia or flax egg).
