It's just so insanely sweet and creamy with subtle hints of coconut and
cumin, and a
little hint of
spice from the chilli.
I love your
spice suggestions — doesn't chili powder and
cumin go with everything??? I am definitely going to give this a try and I think I will add a
little quinoa to make this a meal all on its own!
You can add further
spices to your liking such as
cumin powder or chilli, or even a
little Dijon mustard with a dash of black salt — which has a unique sulfur like taste and hence mimics eggs well in veganised recipes.
The soup is a
little tangy and at the same time
spiced with
cumin and chili which gives it some warmth and a slight kick.
A
little bit of corn adds some sweetness to balance things out, and
cumin is the predominant
spice.
Currently this means brown rice + a basic yellow dal + plain yogurt on the side + shredded brussel sprouts sauteed with a lot of indian
spices (
cumin seeds, some garam masala, some tumeric, salt, a
little chili powder.)
Lightly
spiced with a
little chilli, turmeric, ground
cumin & corriander and garlic then mixed with natural yoghurt.
And then I
spiced the stew with some paprika,
cumin and a
little bit of cayenne for heat.
It's a
little tangy from the limes, but it also has warm, earthy flavors from

cumin to

little honey to balance the tartness of salsa.
This butternut squash soup gets a
little spice from paprika and
cumin, and a
little bit of warmth from oranges and limes.
Try a
little cinnamon, or ginger first, then move on to turmeric (a SUPER
spice loaded with good stuff),
cumin, and others.
If your family isn't used to these types of
spices, start with half and work up from there You can even omit the
cumin, cinnamon and turmeric and just use salt, pepper and a
little garlic powder for a much milder taste.
