These two
little ironstone creamers were happy finds at.25 each, especially since I didn't have any before.

There was something about this corner with all of that
ironstone and the
little primitive touches that truly made it have it an old fashioned farmhouse Christmas feel, or at least how I imagine it would be.
To fill in the empty space on the outside of the candlesticks, I put these
little arrangements in a couple of my
ironstone cups using leftover ribbon, a mini pumpkin, and leftover flowers from my arrangement:
anything you find to be pretty and useful, mixed textures, finishes and colors (and, really, all colors «go» togehter), never ever try to «match» anything... vintage silverware, well - worn wood furniture, vintage linens, any classic chair,
ironstone, original artwork, cats & dogs, hardwood floors, etched glass,
little nooks.
I took it home and scrubbed it clean with bleach, soap and water and stacked it with my
little collection of vintage
ironstone platters.
I added a pair of white
ironstone pitchers that are different in size to complete this sweet
little vignette.
