Just made these the other night, used
a little less honey and added some maple syrup instead.
I used this marinade with halibut, and it was EXCELLENT: my modifications were: 1 jalapeno instead of the serrano, leaving in about a third of the seeds;
a little less honey and twice the cilantro.
We like it with
a little less honey and a ripe banana blended in, or sometimes with egg yolks and topped with salty nuts... Once I used raw spinach to turn it green and added peppermint oil and a few chocolate drops!
Thanks for the recipe — with
a little less honey (only because I prefer more savoury breakfast) this will be a regular.
Will try the agave instead of the honey next time on the walnuts or use
a little less honey.
I'd use
a little less honey when making that swap, since honey is sweeter and has a stronger flavor.
I think next time I may use
a little less honey.
I followed all of the directions exactly other than adding
a little less honey than directed.
I did use
a little less honey, and a little pure maple syrup.
