I've also made these with 1/2
cup of brown sugar instead of 2/3
cup and they still came out great but just taste a
little more like
oatmeal like.
Chopped fresh strawberries along with a
little strawberry preserves were my choice for these
oatmeal cups but changing them up with the seasons (try peaches or blueberries) is easy.
Remove from the pan and serve warm with a
little pure maple syrup or let the
oatmeal cups cool completely and then store in a container in the refrigerator or freeze in a plastic bag.
To eat I just stick the baked
oatmeal cups in the microwave for 1 - 2 minutes or until heated through and then serve with a
little maple syrup.
I used fresh garlic instead powder; also added a
little seasoned breadcrumb to soak moisture (I didn't have a full
cup of
oatmeal).
Two tablespoons of these
little seeds contain over twice the fibre of a
cup of
oatmeal.
As
little as two tablespoons of flaxseeds provides as much fiber as 1-1/2
cups of cooked
oatmeal.

oatmeal... and diced apples?).

For my own AM runs and races, I prefer to go into them with very
little to zero food in my system, a
cup of
oatmeal or a couple bananas is generally enough.
My plans for preserving our blueberries into blueberry granola for the pantry were spot on, and I have been tucking these
little peach baked
oatmeal cups into the freezer for a cool fall day when those fresh peaches are long gone!
