In my seminars, I often describe an accomplishment using «we» to show the
members of my academic
audience how
little it does to help their cases: «In the Smith lab, we do work in the blah - blah field, and we've published, in several high - impact journals, a series
of papers showing that blah - blah and blah - blah are interrelated.»
Fourteen
members of the company is an awfully large number
of characters for their
audience to keep clear, and many are given so
little time on screen as to be indistinguishable.

of the death
of soldiers and children, discussions
of the rape and murder
of women, animals skinned and gutted for food, and corpses
of the dead and executed, may be disturbing for some
audience members.
What makes those other two characters entertaining is their stasis — the fact that there is
little room for them for change (The aging magician's reversion to his enjoyment
of the craft doesn't completely alter his personality; when he's back on stage, he opens his part
of the act by insulting an
audience member's fashion decisions).
A disclaimer at the end
of the movie reassures viewers that no worms were harmed during the making
of this production, however the visuals are realistic enough to make at least some
audience members feel a
little queasy.
Then there's the fish - out -
of - water English boy abroadBen (Hugo Johnstone - Burt — actually Australian and another Home and Away alumni), and his pubescent younger brother Ollie (Art Parkinson), both thrown in to appeal to the younger
members of the
audience and to create a
little teenage angst in this rather messy, too - heavy - on - the - CGI (which is very ropey in places), cheesy dialogue - laden, Michael Bay-esque monster
of a disaster movie.
