Wow, we are seriously on the same page this week — I made
rice stuffed tomatoes on a bed of potatoes on Saturday afternoon, following a years -
old recipe I found over on Rachel Eats, and they were fine, but not great like I wanted them to be — the
rice goes soaks in the tomato sauce first, but doesn't actually get cooked, so some of it was a
little too chewy for me.

At 6 months
old, I extended my work hours to a 6 hour day, and she'd give him
rice cereal in a bowl, attempt the bottle ordeal, and then a
little actual food, ie avocado or banana.
If your kid is
little older than that and filmier with solid food then boiled, and mashed vegetables with
rice wheat or boiled milk with feeds will be good as a regular meal.

As far as what we eat is a wide range of vegetables (not including white potatoes), a wide range of whole fruits, 90 cc mix of no salt tree nuts, (that's my approximation of Dr. Weber's handful of nuts), wide variety of beans and legumes usually about 1/4 cup dry, whole grains example brown
rice pasta, some organic whole grain bread, usual breakfast organic
old fashioned rolled oats with soup spoon of dried wild blueberries, 1/2 a banana, 12 no salt almonds with skin, a
little almond milk.
It's replaced all the
little bags of this flour and that making my pantry much tidier and my grocery budget happier (because who goes through a while bag of sorghum or brown
rice flour before it's
old and rancid?!)
I like using day -
old rice for this, but it generally works out either way (although the consistency is a
little better with day -
old rice)!
