little «king
of the mountain» instead
of just the
pile of laundry to be refolded
When your
little one is snoozing, it can be so darn tempting to attend to some
of the mundane tasks that are
piling up like paying bills,
laundry or — heck — even showering!
When you are folding a
pile of clean
laundry, let the
little ones sort out the socks.
But it is also possible to lean into that and allow the exhaustion to slow you down a
little bit so maybe, just maybe, you're being more present — enjoying the time with your baby more and worrying less about everything else (like the
piles of laundry that need to be washed).
It's basically like a hose that comes out
of your sink, you know, one
of those old school hoses that comes out to help you do the dishes, same type
of thing, next to the toilet, spread off like you do but, our
laundry room is next door so, I just put them in my utility sink that's there and kind
of, my husband and I, actually we put in there, we may throw a
little oxy cleaner, may be
little like earth friendly solution like, back out or something to help with the smell or we put a spray a
little bit with a
little bit
of you know, deodorizer or something you get in the store that works with diapers and we throw them in the sink and when I'm ready to do the
laundry, just stays there,
piles up.
Today I look around and see the wrapping stuff blocking my basement door,
laundry piled on our bed waiting to be folded and put away (yeah right), vacuum in the middle
of the living room floor because I hope it just decides to do it on it's own instead
of waiting for me, not to mention the
Little People explosion all over my house because my 4 year old son is suddenly into creating these elaborate scenes with them.
Sometime is the midst
of challenging behavior,
piles of laundry, and oh so
little «me time» you can forget how truly blessed you are to our to have these
little people call you mom.
