Perhaps if you knew a
little more about what the
Church was about, then you would at least be in a position to throw actual
stones (i.e., reasoned theological or sociological arguments against the
Church).
Michelozzo, Antonio da Sangallo il Vecchio, Baldassarre Peruzzi, Vignola are only some of the names contributing to the urban aspect of Montepulciano, whose main buildings are mostly included within its city walls: the elegant Piazza Grande with its Palaces and the Cathedral; the long artery that under different names winds through the city, ranging along its sides sixteenth century or medieval façades, renaissance
churches, and even sculptured
stones dating back from the etruscan times; the charming
little squares and the narrow, romantic passages.
