If you're looking for something a
little more modest, a
tailored leather
jacket & gladiator sandal looks effortlessly cool.
The
jacket I think would benefit from a
little tailoring of the shoulders and waist.
Wore one today — a
little bigger size than I'd normally wear, but it was tucked into skirt and I had a nicely
tailored jacket over, you couldn't tell.
The
jacket in one size up fit a
little bit from the back (due to lack of vent) but needed
tailoring at the waist to make it not look huge and boxy on me, so I kept the one that was the right size in the waist but pulls a
little over my backside / hips when its buttoned, since I almost never button my suit
jackets.
There weren't a ton of must - haves, except for a few beautiful, well -
tailored leather
jackets in light colors, which were perfect for anyone who wants something a
little more feminine and refined than the standard black moto.
That said, if
tailored jackets and tops just really aren't your thing, graphic details (like the
little square holes on this crop top) will create the illusion of structure, even if the garment itself is a
little shapeless.
