The newest flagship from the Taiwanese
phone maker doesn't come off
like a groundbreaking upgrade from past HTC
phones at first blush, but it does pack a host of
little things worth noting.

Design wise ZTE has stepped
things up with the Grand S wrapping it in a classy polycarbonate unibody which makes the
phone feel premium in the hand and thanks to that 6.9 mm depth it's pretty easy to hold, however we'd have
liked a slightly more curved rear to make it sit in the palm a
little better.
Now, I'm not someone who believes custom Android UIs are a bad
thing, but I'm also aware that some people quite
like the way standard Android looks — and those people will love this
phone, as very
little has been tweaked.
For
things like games where the CPU and GPU will be under a
little more pressure, the
phone held up just fine, though this might change depending on the types of games you play.
The Wifi in the house was a
little touchy / slow, but it was fine for our

things like social media (but not for logging on and doing serious work, which forced me to actually be on vacation - thank you!).
