Funny enough, I spent most of my time figuring out how
little of Henrietta
Chalk Paint ® I needed to mix into the Pure
White!
I have been thinking of doing a
white wash look with
chalk paint on a dinning table but I'm a
little nervous about it because I'm worried it won't stand up to kids and I love the color of this dresser.
Tip: using cardstock becomes a
little messy... if you are using
chalk paint you can always sand down the sloppy edges and then finish it off with a dry brush technique in the old
white to fade some of the those not so nice spots.
It was a
little too yellowish and I decided to use Pure
White Chalk Paint on it to brighten it up.
I mixed a custom colour using Annie Sloan
Chalk Paint in Antibes and Old
White with a
little bit of turquoise acrylic paint added, I got as close to the colour of the handles as I could.

I used

little bit of dark paste wax over the
white to give them an antiqued look.

My homemade
chalk paint looked good until
little white spots showed up, over and over and over.
I also tried mixing it out with some brighter
Chalk Paint ® colors then I tried Pure
White on top, I had it left from this Farmhouse Cabinet I did a
little while back.
A
little watered down
Chalk Paint ® in Pure
White got rid of that orangey - red brick and now plays well with Anne's decorating style!

little Old
White Chalk Paint ®️ by Annie Sloan that was thinned with a
little water.
