This summer, I went with a subtle modern boho chic look by adding a few geometric
vases and metal lanterns filled with big tropical greens and a
little driftwood garland (that I added a
little white to).
She chose a beautiful
white vase with
little cut out details and filled it with fresh forsythia that seriously steals the show!
For her arrangement, Randi used a
white vase that was gifted to her by one of her dear friends and filled it with pink roses paired with fresh eucalyptus and finished off with a few sweet
little clementines that she tucked in using bamboo skewers.
The pink combines very nicely with the beige and
white bedlinen, the mustard throw and the
little brass
vase in the window sill.

I added a pair of antlers I painted
white and gold last year, a brass ram I bartered with Sarah for, a thrifted squirrel and tree
vase I painted
white years ago, feathers, a brass candlestick, and a
little white pumpkin.
The other items I have to mention that give this room its modern glam edge, are the blush faux Mongolian fur throw which I'm obsessed with for spring, the leopard pillows from
Little Design Co, and the blue and
white vases.
Go for unpatterned
white walls that will help to open out the space a
little and bring in a narrow console table that will not only provide a practical door - side catch - all for all those bits and bobs, but also introduce a display space for more decorative pieces, such as
vases or pictures.
Choose a putty or off -
white shade for walls (this will look softer than brilliant
white), then mix in a few lustrous gold accessories, such as a mirror,
vases and candlesticks to add a
little glamour.
