You could move it all into cash, you could buy gold or real estate or for that matter you could even take an aggressive approach and try to capitalize on stocks» carnage by
loading up on investments designed to rise when the
market falls, such as
bear market funds or put options.
The higher yields may encourage them to
load up — or at least stay invested — during
bear markets when prices are low.
Those of us who are quite a few years out from our retirement dates should be praying for a nice, long, savage
