In addition to a
group of important paintings from the university's
collection,
loans of artwork from several private
collections and public institutions, many shown publicly for the first time in years, provide a unique opportunity to observe the development of the artist's life and work through drawings, paintings, and prints dating from the 1940s to the 1980s.
Approximately 40 artworks from the Museum's exceptional
collection of 20th - century art, along with a handful of
loans, are brought together to pay tribute to the creative genius of Duchamp and demonstrate his resounding impact on a select
group of artists born half a century later.
