HPPL, the Homeless Pet Placement League, is a local, non profit animal welfare organization that provides for the rehabilitation and permanent placement of stray and abandoned dogs and cats.

Animals Australia, through our global arm, Animals International, is basing a team in Bali to assist the government with the transition to ending the dog meat trade and we will also work with local groups towards improving the welfare of all animals across the island.

More than 100 dogs saved from a Bloomfield, Ind. puppy mill are now on their way to better lives thanks to the efforts of local authorities, area humane organizations and The HSUS, which acted as the lead animal welfare organization in this rescue mission.

Several other local rescue groups, animal welfare agencies and MABBR spent months caring for these dogs while the case that resulted from the bust ran its course.

As the UK's leading feline welfare charity, we are involved in numerous programmes and work with partner charities such as the PDSA and Dog's Trust as well as local authorities to promote the benefits of neutering.

To promote awareness of animal welfare issues, I conduct training for local shelters, and dog behavior workshops for the public.

First check out the local Breed Specific Rescues, animal welfare shelters, Humane Society, SPCA and RSPCA's as they have many great dogs looking for homes, who through no fault of their own, have ended up at a rescue or animal shelter.

Undaunted, Guinn rallied a couple of dog - loving friends and together they began researching the needs of the local animal welfare community to come up with a targeted strategy to help stop the needless killing of healthy and treatable shelter pets.
