GameUp is an event dedicated to
the local game dev community, and is the forum for professionals to meet and present their games to the public.
GameUp was started to promote and empower
the local game dev community.
The Jyväskylä region has held game developers gatherings since 2012 with EXPA and in 2013 forces were joined with IGDA Finland Hubs to attract and help
the local game dev scene even more.

devs decided to make
local co-op an integral part of the

We share a coworking space with about 20 other
local virtual reality developers, artists,
game makers, and web designers - so needing to push our build out to the side of the room at the end of every
dev session added to our overall setup time.
The MGDS centers around
local Midwest developers getting together to share their knowledge and experience with their peers & aspiring
game devs.

Games and The Interstate
Game Exchange (an initiative which helps developers showcase their
games at meetups across the country) you have the opportunity to try your hand at
games made by
local, interstate and international
devs.
Headed by Louis Roots, an ECU graduate who had been working in the
game dev industry overseas for the past couple of years, the studio has since produced an array of group
games that have amused an entertained at
local events.
