The home secretary has rejected comparisons with Donald Trump after it emerged that the government is to end its commitment to provide a safe haven for thousands of vulnerable
lone child refugees in Europe.
Robert Goodwill, the immigration minister, told MPs in a written ministerial statement on Wednesday that one further group of 150
lone child refugees are to be brought to Britain but they will be the last to be transferred under the scheme.
«It is not insulting other European countries to offer to help; they want us to help... Stop with his attitude with
lone child refugees, putting this House and country to shame.»
