The game is
longer than the previous games in the series and the second half is twice as long as the first half.
This means battles will finally last
longer than previous games.

Overall, there's a shocking amount of content in God of War and it will keep
gamers busy for far
longer than any
previous God of War title did.
It doesn't look any better
than previous Call of Duty
games — at least on Xbox 360, some shoddy shadows effects aside — and at around 5 hours or so the single player campaign isn't any
longer than what we've seen before either.
This is slightly lower
than the
previous game, on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, but it's not that big a deal for Inti Creates: Gal Gun 2 is a pretty niche series after all (which means it's not going to stay in the Top 2 very
long).
The Survival Mode tasks you with surviving for as
long as humanly possible in order to earn the highest possible total score from surviving as many waves as possible and killing as many enemies in the process as possible too which is certainly easier
than it sounds as hordes of enemies from throughout the
game will run straight at you with the express purpose of killing Major Fletcher as quickly as possible with a new wave spawning within seconds of killing the entirety of the
previous wave.
The
game isn't terribly
long, and the difficulty is said to be much simpler
than previous Metroid
games, so don't feel too daunted by this one.
Maybe EA's effort to put us «in the boots of today's soldiers» treads farther
than previous games, and maybe that effort will prove valuable in the
long run.
On the downside, when destroying structures throughout the
game, some remains can take
longer to disappear
than they have in the
previous titles.
The
games new Performance Points (PP) system means you are no
longer able to soup your motors up to levels that put your vehicles head and shoulders above the pack, which does make for more competitive races against your AI opponents, and it certainly makes Gran Turismo 6 more of a racing
game than previous games in the series were.
But while this gives players plenty of time to complete everything, so
long as they prioritise side missions and don't waste too much time zombie hunting, it does make DR3 feel emptier
than the
previous games.
The new
game's passing seems to have somewhat remedied this: basic passes feel a little chunkier, while hitting the right bumper and pass (which previously executed a flair pass, which is now mapped to left trigger + pass) will hit a hard pass, which will be better suited for
long passes into tightly defended areas
than passes in
previous FIFA titles have tended to be.
Since none of these remaining titles have been around
longer than three months, all of them are covered in
previous entries of The Offerings, but since I don't want to end this post by basically saying «Here, you do all the work...» I'm going to do one last quickfire rundown of these
games, Viking funeral style.
We know, for a really hardcore player, it'll take them
longer than it took them to play either of the
previous «God of War»
games.»
At roughly six hours
long, the campaign of Call of Duty: WWII is no more substantial
than those found in most of the
previous games, but even in such a short space of time it manages to tell a heartfelt and heartbreaking story of sacrifice and survival, whilst simultaneously not skimping on Hollywood spectacle.
This is slightly lower
than the

There is also a lot more loading
than other disc based
games in the series which isn't
long enough to be a nuisance but is different from
previous games.
And I was somewhat bothered by the sprite change and the much
longer levels that seem to drag on more and have fewer truly speedy areas
than the
previous games.
Perhaps the promotional campaign for this new
game, which is supposedly set in Greece, will have a
longer tail
than previous entries, we'll soon know.
This is one of the
longest COD campaign modes
than the
previous games in the series, stretching into 10 to 12 hours of gameplay.
As a Rayman Legends, a
game that's already five years old and released for multiple systems, it's by far the weakest version, with less content
than previous iterations,
longer loading times and slightly worse performance.
As in
previous Codemasters racing
games, some styles are more fun
than others - we loved racing Touring cars, but the Endurance category, in which you try and minimise tyre damage over a lengthy race, made us
long for a pit - stop and a Little Chef.
Furthermore, this
game will also be
longer than previous titles in the franchise, with an estimated gameplay of 25 - 35 hours.
DrinkBox revealed that they are targeting a Spring 2015 release date for Severed, and Chris McQuinn seemed adamant in telling me that they really need to get this
game out after
previous delays have caused it to be in the oven for a bit
longer than they would have liked.
Shutting down the console took a
longer time
than expected for
gamers after taking the
previous build, this issue has now been resolved and users will now be able to shutdown the console with minimal time.
