The first thing anyone installing Developer Preview 2 will notice is the new -
look folder icons on the home screen.
Not exact matches
You can then visually
look at your
folders and see these translucent app
icons in the background.
The attention to detail in this theme is unmatched by any other theme, from the way the custom
folder icons were created, to the custom SVG work which allows the
look of multitasking how it is done on the iOS devices.
Android tablets are also very easily customized by the user on how it
looks with widgets,
icons,
folders, and much more.
Not only that but it gives your device the
look and feel of the BlackBerry PlayBook with the indicators,
folders and
icons of OS 2.0.

Cloud states for the Navigation Pane: In an effort to further keep you informed about the state of your OneDrive files and

looking at adding a state
icon to use in File Explorer's Navigation Pane.
We will basically be making a blank
icon for the first page of this
folder with matching color as the wallpaper to make it
look invisible, and then moving rest of the app
icons that we want to hide in the same
folder to the second page and so on.

If you want to make a
folder look like anything but a small grid or stack of
icons in Action Launcher, you have to enable the
folder's Cover, then change the
icon of that first app in the
folder.
Just like how adaptive
icons change the shape of all your app
icons to create for a more cohesive
look, adaptive
folders allow your app
folders to match the shape of whatever your current adaptive
icon style is set to.
Sadly for fans of the Dark Theme and Night Mode, Launcher Shortcuts, advanced multitasking shortcuts, those funky new
folder icons or the shutter button in video mode, it
looks like these features may not make the cut.
However, the app
icons on the G5
look a little outdated, the
folder opening animation comes from the middle of the screen, instead of where the
folder is, and the settings menu can be quite hard to navigate through, with its four sections.
A good launcher can give your phone a total makeover, from changing the
look and feel with different
icons and themes, to adding new functionality such as smart
folders and search assistants.
This allows you to customize the
look and feel of your home screen, app
icons, as well as functionality of the app drawer and
folders on your device.
Of course, there's no guaranteeing the new
folder icon will stick around in the final Android N update — what we're expecting to become Android 7.0 later this year — but it's a nice new
look to try out.
