look gorgeous with the gray countertop you want to get for the new kitchen.
Remember
white cabinets and storage can
look good, but only if they are paired with the right shade
of paint and tiles on the wall.
I was originally thinking
of using Railings (F&B) on the bottom
cabinets, with the LD hardware, and
white upper
cabinets... but I feel like I will want a softer
look and the Pigeon
looks gorgeous.
The contrast between the

of the paint was sanded off, I repainted the bottom half

This little
cabinet was definitely on the creamy side
of ivory, but once I got it home it
looked a bit more yellow then cream, and stuck out like a swore thumb up against our
white toilet and sink.
A collection
of glasses, vases and crisp
white serveware displayed in a slate grey
cabinet offers a quaint curated
look that's in keeping with the rest
of the (almost) all -
white cottage.
A few people have said they think the
cabinets would
look nice painted
white but have complained that they think it
looks back when the inside
of the
cabinets are still the original color.

i have a farmhouse kitchen with lots
of white cabinets / and black counter tops and have been
looking for something similar!!
After another long period
of indecision (ha) we decided on
white cabinets for a clean
look that could be easily updated with accessories.
Medium oak
cabinets in the kitchen bathrooms and «linen»
cabinet at the end
of the hallway will be painted some
white or light in keeping with the style
of my house plus my choice in floor color (can't be hardwood but I'm learning toward wood -
look porcelain tile similar to what Kate at CentsationalGirl did in her Nevada home.
Mainly, I realized that the south window on the other side
of the sink brought in tremendous light but I could see it come to an abrupt halt when it hit the
cabinet and I knew even with the
cabinet painted
white, that effect would still be there and who wants to
look at a
cabinet anyway.
I don't actually call my style this to others but in repsonse to this Q I'm thinking «Ballard Barn»:)... neutral different yet complementary gray toned walls throughout our open concept home downstairs... darker wood floors... leather sofas... newly remodeled
white kitchen...

looks like marble with more colors with chrome pulls on both... lots
of textures throughout (grain sack pillows, chunky handmade by my mom throws)... artwork from my talented teenage daughter (straight knock off

And, yes, the bulk
of my clients request to see what their
cabinets would
look like painted
white, but every once in a while someone wants / needs them to stay as - is and I'm happy to work with the wood tones too!
While using two different colors
of cabinetry might be a current trend, I have always liked the
look and find it visually appealing when done tastefully and sparingly (I used a wood
cabinet and
white cabinetry in my old kitchen).

I love the
look of a clean
white kitchen but I'm really concerned that if I paint my own
cabinets they won't
look nice and it might hurt trying to sell my house.
I did some «budget - friendly» renovating
of my kitchen 2 yrs ago, stripping old wallpaper, putting in the subway tile backsplash, adding bright
white beadboard halfway up walls and on the existing
white cabinet ends, painting the rest
of the walls soft
white (sometimes
looks very very pale yellow).
I think what really makes this
look so much more open is the removal
of the heavy upper
cabinets & the
white backdrop
of the leftover
cabinets & subway tile &
of course taking the dinning table out!
With my
white cabinets and graystone counters and hardwood -
look floors, a pop
of yellow on an island would be perfect!
And if you do want that
look of white painted
cabinets and think you will be selling the house, it would pay off to do a reasonably good paint job.
I have thought a lot about what my dream kitchen &
cabinets would
look like and I think I have finally decided I would be very happy with mostly
white cabinets, very light gray for the walls and some fabrics, and
of course yellow where ever I can find a place for it.
An off -

cabinets and worktops to keep the space
looking light, with accents
of red to add an element

So while it
looks overly
white to me right now, I keep reminding myself that we still have to add the beams and metal ceiling in the living room, the planked wall behind the fireplace, a wood ceiling in the kitchen, industrial metal railing, green
cabinets and,
of course, furniture and decor.
Its just how I imagine my dream kitchen, very clean with lots

Actually I love the
look of black hardware on

I love this
cabinet, it
looks exactly like the one I bought in a furniture store, but it was already
white and has two doors instead
of one.
When it's closed, the shoe
cabinet just
looks like a nice piece
of furniture, and it coordinates so well with the
white doors and trim in the mudroom.
To create a seamless
look, the
cabinets, walls, and trim are painted the same shade
of white.
The semicustom
cabinet boxes framed with
white molding mimic the
look of expensive custom inset
cabinets.
Knowing that a coat
of white paint would keep this kitchen under budget and
looking smart, the homeowners added glass - front upper
cabinets to expand their storage and display space.
Other details we had to finalize: — For the
cabinet color, we elected to color - match the
white to our existing moulding throughout the house (which is roughly the color
of what basic
white non-tinted paint
looks like after aging almost 50 years — we've repainted it all but had SW mix us something to match one
of our old louver closet doors since we like the color).
