These effects, combined with the art style, make Kirby's Dream Land 3 one of the best

Fox n Forests can't be faulted for its fantastically accurate portrayal of 16 - bit platforming; very few indie
games have managed to nail the
look and sound of the
SNES so well.
The jump from the NES to
SNES brought
games with a higher -
looking quality, the jump from the
SNES to N64 brought gaming into a new dimension, the jump from the N64 to GameCube brought enhanced 3D models and a stunning controller people still use today, and finally the jump from GameCube to Wii brought the revolutionary motion controls that set forth the path for
games like Super Mario Galaxy.
Smash bros is pretty much the same as the last

looks like more of the same from wii, Hell the Dk

snes had more effort and felt more like whole
games and less like cop outs for money, do nt get me wrong DK for wii was good but was nothing even close to the old ones, do nt care about wind waker its an old
game that i played on my gamecube a few times.

look how long it took is to get a Metroid
game from

The Donkey Kong Country
games looked awesome on the
SNES to begin with but those snow levels
looked amazing I agree.
Name a PS2 launch
game that
looked like Shadow of the Colossus or a
SNES year one
game that
looked like FFIII (VI) or Donkey Kong Country.
And it
looks like a little
SNES game cartridge!
It's got the
look of an NES with the inputs of an
SNES, making it compatible with a much wider range of
games than a strictly authentic setup would allow.
The first
game was to sell the power of the
snes, second one even more so with you being able to board ships, but of course that was cancelled, 2 was canceled so 64 could
look all the more impressive and really show off what made the n64 so different, it also was bundled with the rumble pack to push it, much like the wii motion plus bundles from last gen, assault was the worst
game in the series by a longshot, and the first one created without the idea of pushing something (as far as anyone knows), adventures of course isnt even a starfox
game so why include it, and of course command had forced stylus controls which may or may not have been to convince people to touch can work for hardcore
games too, but thats just me assuming they arent just jerks.
The Wii U's sales show that even great
games like DK Tropical Freeze (which harken back to the glory days of
games on the
SNES) aren't enough to interest dedicated PS4 or XB1 owners, when there's a new realistic
looking cinematic
game like GoW 4 just around the corner.
And the crazy thing is that many of the developers hyping these
games looked like they would have been in diapers the first time I fired up an
SNES.
There was Zelda Skyward Sword which
looked fine, Donkey Kong which
looked almost exactly like the
SNES games (indeed it's obvious that's what they're going for), Metroid Other M, and Kirby Epic Yarn (the latter
looking the most exciting to me).
I prefer the
SNES version of the
game since there are once again more levels, plus a ton of bonus features like Time Trials and the option to change the art style to the comic versions, making each Turtle
look a bit different in comparison.
It
looks like the
game is actually running at 60 FPS on the
SNES.

Secret of Mana (PS4): The beloved
SNES game is getting remade in a 3D / 2D style that
looks to capture all the wonders of the original.

look at it.
It all comes together nicely without losing what made the
game look good and play well on
SNES.

looking similar to the Megadrive
game (when outside of the Matrix), was a completely different beast but it was not too shabby either and possibly provided a more fleshed out story.

When playing classic
games, the
SNES Classic and the Super Nt
look almost identical.
It contains all my old favorite
SNES games, and I love that the controllers are exactly the same and that the console has the same
look, though slightly different functionality.
The NES,
SNES, Genesis and TurboGrafx are each represented with a
game this week, and from the
looks of it, they're all pretty good.
The original ActRaiser has some of the most gorgeous backdrops and graphics early in the
SNES lifespan, and to this day the
game still
looks amazing.

The back of the console houses an HDMI port and a micro USB port for power, while the front features two controller slots, which are covered up by a flap that emulates the

Hahaha, I can't even take nemo's post seriously it's so unbelievably bitchy... My two cents: I'm not very happy with the Dual Shock joysticks, but I guess there really wasn't any other choice considering that the D - pad should most definitely be the high priority input considering the NES and
SNES... I like the overall style and design, though, because it
looks like a very slick
SNES pad, and I'm hoping it feels like it too... There really aren't many N64s
games I really need to get (except a certain shooter by Treasure that never made it over here) so the joysticks aren't that big of a deal for me... Either way, I'll be getting this for sure...
I didn't have an
SNES and didn't want one, as by the time the
SNES had hit the market we had a family computer and my attention quickly went there (albeit also
looking for
games).
Sure it
looks like a nice ROM hack of a decades old
SNES game, but it doesn't initially
look like it can compete with the likes of Brutal Mario in regards to programming gimmicks and ASM.
There are some true masterpieces in the database, rivaling the quality of even the official Nintendo
SNES and Gameboy
games, so if you are new to Zelda Classic, definitely take a
look.

True, the
game isn't using the sprite graphics that were so beloved in the
SNES, GBA and DS era, but it's
looking pretty decent despite being in 3D.
The whole one Mario
game a system stuff was a fairly recent invention if you
look back at Mario history, it only held true of the
