A rear wing was later added too, making the car
look much more conventional than originally planned - apart from the
sidepods, which extended all the way to the rear wing.
Even though they had Pennzoil sponsorship (which has made for some iconic colour schemes in other series), their
sidepod logo was so small that it just
looks lost.
Nevertheless, the RB13 certainly
looks like one of the most interesting cars on the grid — another car with the shark fin, but also skinny
sidepods and an unusual vent on the nose tip.
Plus, that McLaren from 2011
looks particularly stunning, and the wacky - shaped
sidepods match the way the car was unveiled perfectly!
Especially in the
sidepod / bargeboard and front wing areas it doesn't
look like they have done anything radical.
