loops — coils

The corona is made up
of charged plasma, which roils in famous
loops and fans that follow
magnetic field lines emerging from the surface
of the sun (SN Online: 8/17/17).
How this dynamo was initiated and how it works is mysterious, but it seems that the circulation
of liquid metal through a
magnetic field (which must have begun eons ago) causes a feedback
loop of electricity and magnetism and unleashes a powerful electric current hundreds
of miles wide.
Some previous theoretical studies have suggested that the
magnetic field of a neutron star should break into smaller
loops and dissipate as the star ages — a phenomenon known as «turbulent cascade.»
The effect, which has not yet been demonstrated, would take advantage
of the stationary

But when the sun ejects major blasts
of particles in flares and solar storms, these belts overflow and send electrons streaming toward Earth along the
looping lines
of the
magnetic field, which intersect the planet near the north and south poles.
According to the leading theory, a flare is set off when nearby
magnetic fields of opposite polarity break and reconnect, creating a closed
loop with two footprints on the solar surface.
However,
magnetic fields travel in a
looping pattern, requiring the use
of fragile and lossy ferrites to keep the
fields and the energy directed — resulting in an expensive system.
This include flares and CMEs, as well as other features that might indicate that flares or eruptions are imminent, such as filaments, which are bundles
of plasma held down by
magnetic field lines, coronal
loops and sunspots.
As each cycle progresses, the movement
of this plasma (black
loop) shifts the solar
magnetic fields (gold strands)-- from which sunspots erupt — from the sun's midlatitudes to its equator.
Huge
magnetic loops can be seen to rise far into the corona, and it is quite plausible that the solar
magnetic field is the ultimate source
of physical heating
of the corona.»
When the scientists switched on a specially designed

Physicists aim to solve this mystery by mapping the coronal
loops: streams
of hot, glowing plasma that follow
magnetic field lines...
Magnetic field lines, erupting from a dynamo inside the sun, sculpt the corona into a menagerie
of shapes with different names:
loops, streamers, empty holes and mass ejections that burp outwards.
Wang and his co-authors strung together a series

of loops peel off and grow upward into a multi-strand flux rope within a few minutes.
A SQUID is extremely sensitive to the total amount
of magnetic field that penetrates the area
of the
loop — the voltage that you measure across the device is very strongly correlated to the total
magnetic field around the
loop.
Everything starts with
magnetic field lines, or
loops, that rise through an opening in the floor
of the tokamak.
This channel is especially good at showing coronal

In this way, nanoflares may also be the missing link responsible for untangling the chaotic mess

of the Sun, explaining why the corona has neat
loops and smooth fans
of magnetic fields.

It also helps us understand how the large
magnetic loops in the Sun's outer atmosphere, the corona, form out
of the highly intermittent
magnetic fields on the Sun's surface.
Although it is well established that the Sun's
magnetic field is responsible for the supply
of energy to the atmosphere, exactly how this
magnetic energy is converted into thermal energy is still not understood in detail, as models struggle to simultaneously encompass the very disparate temporal and spatial scales on which the heating has to occur, in different structures, with a wide variety
of characteristics (e.g. open versus closed structures, short quiet - sun
loops versus hot active - region
loops and large - scale interconnecting
loops).
The differential rotation
of the Sun's latitudes causes its
magnetic field lines to become twisted together over time, causing
magnetic field loops to erupt from the Sun's surface and trigger the formation
of the Sun's dramatic sunspots and solar prominences (see
magnetic reconnection).
Loops of plasma are held in place by the sun's strong
magnetic fields, concentrated in active regions that are visible to the naked eye as sunspots.
The Green Hill Zone begins almost identically to how it did back in 1991, until suddenly you notice one
of Sonic 3's
magnetic shields in place
of Sonic 1's standard force
field, and the corkscrew
loops from Sonic 2's Emerald Hill Zone are at play.
So, if these currents have mass, and these currents are
looping through a periodically changing barycenter, all that is needed to affect something else in the sun — and whether that symptom
of the change is a change in sunspot number, or sunspot cycle intensity, or change in the sun's net
magnetic field, or corona «height», or ejected masses, or whatever is a small change in the position
of the barycenter.

Another apparatus associated with this invention includes a receiver resonator including at least two
loop resonators capable
of resonating in the presence
of an external non-radiative
magnetic field, the at least two
loop resonators being disposed in such that the
magnetic field received by each is substantially orthogonal to that received by the other.
Samsung's invention involves an apparatus which includes a transmit resonator that includes at least two
loop resonators that generate a
magnetic field in the near -
field zone (non-radiative), the at least two

magnetic field produced by each is substantially orthogonal to that produced by the other at a certain or specific portion
of the zone.
