It is amazing to see small changes turn into large weight
loss numbers on the scale.

I know a lot of people are very uncomfortable talking about their weight and actual
numbers on the
scale, but I hope that if I reveal all my personal details and stats that it will help someone else in their weight
loss journey.
The third phase is Consolidation phase, which adds in a lot more foods into your diet in order to stop the weight
loss and start getting your body used to the new
number on the
scale.
As long as you're not taking the starvation route to fat
loss and you're working out regularly, you should expect to build muscle and lose fat almost simultaneously, which means that you won't see the desired
numbers on the weight
scale, even though you'll look great and feel much better than before.
It's less difficult for many of us to stay motivated during weight
loss because we may see the
number on the
scale moving or the fact that our clothes fit better.
I am definitely noticing body fat
loss in the mirror, size of my waist / thighs and I'm getting stronger but I guess not seeing the
numbers really change
on the
scale makes it seem like there's not really any progress!
We're not a fat camp or a weight
loss boot camp, where everything's about the
number on the
scale.
But as you all know, I'm not one to promote quick weight
loss solutions; I prefer natural, holistic health tips that benefit more than just the
number on the
scale.
The
number on the
scale should not be a major focus, but with a lifestyle overhaul and a focus
on healthy eating, weight
loss will simply be a bi-product of a healthier lifestyle!
There's more to weight
loss than just a
number on the
scale.

Though many of us are focused
on weight
loss, life is so much more valuable than a
number on the
scale.
Starting a weight
loss program for your dog isn't just about looking for a specific
number on the
scale, it's about implementing a comprehensive plan.
Clearly, the
loss of biodiversity (estimated at thousands of times the natural backgroud rate), the
number of well known species that are threatened (10 - 40 % depending
on taxonomic group), the
loss of 10,000 - 30,000 genetically distinct populations per day (see Hughes et al., 1997) massive declines of groundwater, soil productivity and fertility, etc. as well as the fact that human activities now impact biogeochemical cycles over huge spatial
scales is sufficient evidence that our species is living off of natural capital, rather than income.
