While the Dalai Lama, a Buddhist monk, does not often speak
about business explicitly, choosing instead to focus on teachings
about compassion and peace, he sounded a
lot like an aging CEO preparing to pass the reins.
Like these knives the crisis of conscience in Christianity today is that those of us who talk a
lot about God have no
compassion, while those who seem to have «put Him in parenthesis» ironically show more
compassion and mercy.
There is a

about compassion to others and the poor.
I've been thinking a
lot about what I can do in these times of chaos and confusion and sometimes hate when really we just need a
lot of love — and honestly, I think the best thing I can do is simply to share my
compassion and love with others, and hopefully inspire someone to pass that love on to more people.
The first lesson baby will learn is all
about relationships, they will learn that interaction with mom and dad will differ from their interaction with friends and even their dog, baby will learn that the dog needs a
lot of help from mom and dad too, it will also teach baby how to care for something else, thus teaching baby
about compassion and empathy.
I have a
lot of
compassion for this woman, but I think her strange beliefs
about childbirth and, well, anything medical or scientific are just wrong and are almost certainly contributing to her distress.
We talk
about everything from uncovering the deepest parts of ourselves so we can live a more intentional life and have more fulfilling relationships, to running a faith - filled business, and we even talked a
lot about racial reconciliation and what coming from a place of true
compassion looks like.
This heartbreaking story has a
lot to say
about compassion, respect for history and growing up.
But also, through that dialogue, I often find that clients have epiphanies, deeper levels of understanding
about what's happening in their life, and they walk out of therapy sessions knowing new things
about themselves that can give you a
lot of hope and deeper understanding and
compassion for yourself.
Self -
compassion is not a
lot of work — it's
about letting go of the stress that we invisibly and inevitably add to our daily lives.
