I tried making these and had to add
a lot more flour.
The dough was EXTREMELY sticky and loose and I had to work in
a LOT more flour (easily an extra 1/4 -1 / 2 cup) in order to handle it at all.
Less eggs for sure,
A LOT more flour, and more sugar.
It was very wet and sticky (like homemade playdough that needs
a lot more flour).
The dough takes far longer to rise than the recipe indicates and I had to add
a lot more flour to make the dough manageable.
I always have to add
a lot more flour after the initial proof to shape a ball that I can pick up.
When baking with this homemade flour product, we discovered that we needed
a lot more flour than usual!
I ended up incorporating
a lot more flour while kneading it until it was elastic and springy.
You could always treat it like it's a biscuit dough, but then, you'd be added
a lot more flour to the batter, making the donuts more dry.
