Let me add the caveat that this was
a lot more sugar than I normally eat or crave... but sometimes it just has to be done!
What's most important is that some have
a lot more sugar than others.
The problem is that it takes a lot of fruit to make one serving of juice; for example, a glass of orange juice contains several oranges and therefore contains
a lot more sugar than a single orange.
Especially when paleo friendly desserts and even a breakfast smoothies filled with fruit will have
a lot more sugar.
So even if you're not big on desserts, chances are you're still consuming
a lot more sugar than you think.
But, in addition, we are consuming additional calories from more refined flours, processed foods as well as
a lot more sugar over the past 10 years.
Not only do snacks on the go add up, they probably have
a lot more sugar and added ingredients than you though.
With cranberries it takes a lot more raw berries to make a fresh bottle of juice because they're more fibrous, and hence you get
a lot more sugar as well.
Not to mention, when you eat cheerios Protein you also get
a lot more sugar and calories.
Unfortunately Starbucks version is
a lot more sugar laden than you posted.
It made having it so much more special and not to mention saved me from eating
a lot more sugar then I normally would eat.
