a lot of Wipeout fans were looking forward to seeing updated versions of the PS1 originals, why do you think these were overlooked in this version?

a lot of Wipeout: Omega Collection and Micro Machines: World Series and it got me thinking; is the future of racing games in the past?

of wipeout seems a
lot more plausible now than it did before this year's European elections, when the number
of Lib Dem MEPs was slashed from 11 to just one.

lot of ways, with the series having been on an undeclared hiatus for the last five years, this is as much
of a nostalgia trip as Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy or
Wipeout Omega Collection.

Stories about enthusiastic kids that in epic barrels and in inglorious
wipeouts become men, stories about great friendships and unforgettable sessions,
lot of good memories and some tragedies.
WipEout Pulse impressed me in a
lot of ways.

I have a
lot of fond memories with the
Wipeout series
of futuristic racing games.
Races tend to be closely fought (some
of the Sega Racing Studio staff matches were a
lot of fun just to watch), although some spectacular
wipeouts and a general lack
of skill often saw me trailing the testing staff for the game.
Successfully navigating the turbulent turns
of the New York city circuit requires a
lot of skill if you want to finish with a fast time or respectable race position, while the narrow design reminiscent
of the first
WipEout game forces you to be strategic when overtaking opponents - you really have to meticulously memorise the layout
of the track and remember braking points and boost pad locations to maximise your speed, but it's very rewarding when you get into a flow, blast through every boost pad and glide into every twist and turn at full speed.
Big franchises like F - Zero and
WipEout haven't gotten a
lot of truly new entries in a while.
