There's not usually a
lot of flame wars in this community, so your
ad hominem response is unfortunate.

There are exceptions; notably a
lot of recent reviews
of a best - selling memoir have attacked the author instead
of the book, but when a book has
lots of reviews it's easier just to skip over the obvious
ad hominem attacks
of small - minded people, especially those who like to write in all caps.
The activism
of the raters - pure
ad hominem argument, the only hard evidence presented
of incorrect categorisation (and I agree with some) amount to a
lot less than 1 %
of the total.
The global warming community spends a
lot of time with
ad hominem attacks on skeptics, usually accusing them
of being in the pay
of oil and power companies, but they all know that their own funding in turn would dry up rapidly if they were to show any bit
of skepticism in their own work.
