The boys aren't
bad either, and, in addition to Phoenix, it's exhilarating to recognise, in various disguises, hairdos and toupees, actors that have shaped both American independent cinema, Hollywood and / or cable television (The Sopranos, The Wire, Boardwalk Empire) for the last twenty years: Owen Wilson offers an understated performance as a former saxophone player who has to fake his death; the always impeccable Martin Donovan is a lawyer for the Golden Fang (he's also, by the way, Japonica's father, which serves him right); Benicio del Toro shines as the man passing as «Doc's lawyer»; Josh Brolin drew a
lot of kudos for his performance as Doc's nemesis, an LAPD detective nicknamed Bigfoot with the
bad habit
of kicking people's door and
dreams of making it to the big screen; Martin Short; Eric Roberts, Michael Kenneth Williams etc...
And the truth is, a
lot of writers have
bad habits, negative thoughts, limiting beliefs and all kinds
of BS nonsense holding them back from being the writer and author they
dream of being.
Bad credit can prevent you from seeing a
lot of your
dreams come true.
If you've worked in the world
of retail before, you know that you bring a
lot of things to the table: maybe some Tetris mastering when it comes to shelf - stocking, the ability to balance your drawer with an accuracy the IRS could only
dream about, a deft hand in crisis management with colleagues who are about to snap, and the zen skills
of dealing with the
worst customers in the world while still maintaining a friendly smile.
