I would imagine
a lot of larger resorts benefited from paying very low prices 10 - 20 years ago and now make money in dollars and pay all labor and expenses in pesos.
The nice part was that compared to
a lot of large resorts, the pool activity schedule wasn't overbearing and it was easy to find quiet times just relaxing by the pool or playing ping pong.

Lots of people have noted that this
resort is so
large but we didn't find this to be the case, even with carting around two kids, a stroller and all the gear.
Grand Palladium
resorts are
large, most rooms accommodate
larger families, and the overall experience is not overwhelmingly * family * which is great when your babies are small and you don't need a
lot of bells and whistles.
This
resort has a
lot of pools and they are quite
large which was nice.
But, if you're looking for a more laid back vacation without a
lot of the hustle and bustle (and crowds) that you'll find at the
larger resorts, the Napili Kai Beach Resort may be just what you're looking for.
Some guests arrive with expectations
of a
large resort with
lots of amenities like golf, spa, gift shops, multiple restaurants and pools.
You can choose a tiny island with nothing to do but relax on the beach or snorkel or a
larger resort with
lots of activities and restaurants to choose from.
Our
resort on Lembongan consists
of ten villa - rooms that surround a swimming pool, a poolside café,
large restaurant, dive center with classroom and
lots of relaxing areas.
Because
of its size we're in no doubt that space will be at a premium during the busier times
of the year — although the
resort is considerably smaller than the Aruba
resorts (it has just 155 rooms) it's still
large enough to mean that there will be a
lot of competition for sun loungers, umbrellas and beach space.
A
lot of resort staffers dwell along a lane that's essentially the rear end
of several
large resorts behind Sunrise Beach's southern end.
Plakias is not a
large resort, but this only means it has retained a
lot of its original Cretan charm.
Sunwing
Resort & Spa enjoys a heavenly location and makes the most
of it.As to be expected at a family - friendly
resort, rooms feature a kitchenette (but no oven) and the Happy Baby rooms are just perfect for young families as they also have a mini-garden and are poolside.For active families Sunwing has a busy schedule that changes weekly and that also involves a
lot of activities and fun with shows, face painting, movie time, acrobat show, water basketball and much more.There are 283 studios and family suites with six types
of accommodation equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV with movie channel,
large fridge, light kitchen equipment, internet connection, and private oversized balcony or terrace overlooking the gardens or Andaman Sea.
Despite the
large resort complexes in the area, there is not a
lot of development on the beach itself.
They have a
large resort style pool with
lots of loungers around it.
Families choosing to stay in a
resort usually prefer a
resort or hotel that includes breakfast, has a
large swimming pool, and
lots of facilities available.
