At cafe's matcha can be quite expensive, and also not that tasty, usually with
lots of added sweeteners you would realize!
Plus, this bread doesn't have
a lot of added sweetener since bananas are already sweet, so it's great for breakfast with a smoothie or protein drink (like bulletproof chocolate milk or tea), or a tall glass of raw milk.

adding lots of cinnamon means I don't have to
add sweeteners).

Date nectar is one
of my favourite
sweeteners as it has such an incredibly rich flavour that really
adds depth to whatever I'm making, it's so much more exciting than
lots of other
sweeteners in that way which only has sweetness but nothing else.
I opted to try remedy the recipe myself: I
added more
sweetener, some oil and
lots of almond milk.
Unfortunately, this means a
lot of processed low carb junk foods (including dairy products and artificial
sweeteners) get
added into their diet.
If you have a strong craving for sugar that smells a bit like an addiction, and
LOTS of people fall into this category, then sometimes it's easier to avoid
added sweeteners than to keep it around you and dabble now and then.
I don't have a
lot of experience with zero calorie
sweeteners, but I would say probably not as it is, because the honey
adds a
lot of bulk, leaving it out would change the texture.
Atkins create the — or Atkins made that ketogenic term famous except he used a
lot of crappy foods, you know, didn't differentiate with soy protein,
added aspartame and artificial
sweeteners.
Lots of cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a touch
of almond extract also help bring out the sweetness without having to use too much
added sweeteners.
When it's a natural
sweetener, you won't need a
lot of it and it has the
added benefit
of offering your body some building blocks it needs to stay strong.
I find
adding spices to be a really good way
of adding flavor without using a
lot of sweetener, and with the addition
of chia seeds, coconut oil and hemp milk, it helps keep me full longer and is a great breakfast post-workout.
There are also a
lot of sweeteners added to healthy sounding foods so its good to know, that even when making sauces, there are healthier options.
