I've had a similar
experience... without wanting to sound negative, I have made a couple
of the sweet recipes and did not like them at all (the choc chia cookies and sweet potato brownies)... I have made quite a
lot of raw or
cooked «clean» deserts that tasted great but these were not good at all.
For more
experienced cooks, the book has a
lot to offer as well: a
lot of recipes for pie crusts, pizzas, breads etc etc that spark your own imagination and creativity.
Chef Puck said that, among other things, the pasta sauce could be used to help keep the fish moist while baking — especially helpful if you don't have a
lot of experience cooking fish.
