I've had a similar experience... without wanting to sound negative, I have made a couple
of the sweet recipes and did not like them at all (the choc chia cookies and sweet
potato brownies)... I have made quite a
lot of raw or cooked «clean» deserts that tasted great but these were not good at all.
If you want to make the
potato croutons then chop the remaining
potatoes (you don't need to peel these ones) into small pieces and place them in a tray with
lots of olive oil plus the chilli flakes, salt and pepper.
I then make
lots of roasted vegetables, normally this is a mix
of carrots, squash and sweet
potatoes as I find these taste the most delicious cold — they seem to get more delicious stored in the fridge whereas other veggies can go a bit soggy.
A big bowl
of steamed seasonal veggies,
potatoes, beans or tofu with a yummy dressing and
lots of kraut or kimchi is so good too!
Something like sweet
potato brownies may be healthier than the conventional alternative, but after a week or so
of eating way too much I find myself feeling a bit rubbish and my old stomach issues will come right back — most notably I'll look about nine months pregnant and be in
lots of pain.
My first batch
of sweet
potato brownies is in the oven now... The mix was a
lot sticker than the one in your video and I had to make sure I process the sweet
potatoes with the dates really well to make it nice and caramelly.
I wouldn't worry that another sweet
potato or squash main would clash — the curry I made two weeks ago is perfect for a cheap dinner for

I love mashed
potatoes to this day and can easily put away a good portion, which I think is true for a
lot of people due to the dish's comfort food status.

potato version we made these beauties!
I steam the
potatoes because boiling is a harsher cooking method which tends to deplete a
lot more
of the nutrients.
They are also a very economical dish, as you can feed a
lot of people using less ingredients as a stuffing — meat,
potatoes, farmers cheese, etc..
