books often feature a
lot of man - chest, moonlight, and fangs for vampire -
type stories or a wolf, bear, or whatever in the background for shifter -
type stories.
You see, if you are talking about a subject like for instance Acne, for example, and you have a list
of ways to prevent acne, you can skip a
lot of the «what is acne»
type chapter because people are not buying your
book to read that.
Warshaw talked about some
of the reasons why there isn't as much focus on digital content for teen readers since a
lot of the non-fiction format doesn't come through as easily in ebooks as it does for other
types of books.
Reading the same
type of book for escapism isn't as much fun as it used to be, so I tend to read a
lot of nonfiction.
Regardless, these
types of books are FAR more valuable to us - and more importantly, to libraries - then poorly edited, poorly represented
books that have
lots of reviews.
Find out what you need to do to turn out a viable
book project — one that sells to publishers and to
lots and
lots of readers — and to become the
type of writer who can be a successful author — one who produces successful
books.

of them, in their years in translation, have fed off one another's popularity in defining what big - ticket manga
of the shonen
type «should» read like, since one success in a tricky market naturally begets the promotion
of other
books that sort
of look and feel a
lot like the prior success.

of the things that a
lot of authors are asking me is, should we be, as authors, trying to make sure the algorithm can tell what
type of books we write and the audience we have?
