While
I love the Ratchet and Clank games as a franchise I have a mixed reception to the games themselves, I'll admit to seriously hating the original game and therein lay a question in my books.

love Ratchet and Clank, have 5 games from that series.
Loved Ratchet and Clank TOD (beat) and I've now bought them all to play (better than Mario, which was my all - time favorite series prior, R&C is better.).

I played through part of the planet Kerwan (where you must leap between boxes on a moving train) and as somebody who
loved Ratchet and Clank on the PS2 when I was a kid, this new edition was an exciting, nostalgic experience, while also being an entirely new game.

The beloved duo has had it's ups and downs in the past but with the latest release, Into the Nexus I am delighted to tell you all that this is the
Ratchet & Clank you came to
love, there is only one small gripe with the whole thing.

Although some might claim that the series have dropped some of its entertaining gameplay aspect in the latest releases such as All 4 One, which focused heavily on multiplayer aspects, or Full Frontal Assault which turned into a more Tower Defence type of
Ratchet & Clank game, or the Playstation Move Heroes which brought the Move into play and, well, it wasn't the
Ratchet & Clank we came to
love.
I'd
love it if they showed more story, but it seems to have less charm than
Ratchet & Clank and looks like it's clunkier than Crash Bandicoot.
I especially
loved maps that blended together well, such as LittleBigPlanet / Buzz, I was personally glad to see Buzz in this game, Hades / Patapon, Fearless / Wipeout, Stowaways / Bioshock, and San Francisco /
Ratchet and Clank.
I mean, we
love the people who play
Ratchet and Resistance and we've been having a great time communicating with them.
Between Uncharted 4 and
Ratchet and Clank I feel like my
love of video games has been revitalized.
Rest assured the voices you've come to
love for
Ratchet, Clank, Nefarious and Captain Qwark will also be back, voiced by the same actors as in the games.
All in all, as I stated earlier, I
loved spending my time playing
Ratchet & Clank with its bright, colourful worlds, rich character models and engrossing gameplay.
I'd
love to see a complete enchanted treatment like what happened to
Ratchet & Clank.
I'll also be throwing in some MW2 Spec - ops with my friend Stephen and possibly some
Ratchet & Clank with my 4 yr old nephew (he
loves to watch and act like he's playing with a controller)
We
love colourful platformers here at T3 and the PS4 and Xbox One just aren't giving us what we want nowadays (
Ratchet & Clank have eased our pain though).
As much as I
love mario,
Ratchet and Clank is the series that I
love the most, it may not be 2d platforming, but it's one of the best 3d ones out there.
Insomniac Games is best known for their mostly family friendly Playstation exclusive
Ratchet and Clank which cements the studios general style, and then in the inverse we now have Sunset Overdrive an exclusive for the Xbox One that features just about everything I
love about their
Ratchet and Clank games just reborn in an entirely new way.
Ratchet & Clank puts you back in control of the titular hero and his robotic sidekick, It offers all - new gameplay, next - generation graphics, and cinematic cutscenes, but the game still has all the classic run - and - gun platforming action that fans of the series know and
love.
I
love how I feel after an hour of lightning - round coaching, my head stuffed full of new ideas while also
ratcheting up plans in progress.
We have the traditional
ratchet screw driver, which I
love, but this thing is amazing!!!
