Wow, I am not a vegan but

I have
loved being a part of this monthly
challenge and have discovered so many new health focused blogs because of it (see

I don't think I ever found writing
recipe notes too
challenging — perhaps because I had been copying

There aren't many foods that I shy away from on My Modern Cookery, and one my favorite
challenges is putting a modern twist on classic
recipes that everyone knows and

This week, my friends at #SundaySupper were
challenged to share their favorite fall flavors, and by the looks of the list of
recipes, I'm not the only one who
loves the taste of cooler weather food.
My
love of baking (and chocolate) definitely came from my mom, and over the years I've enjoyed expanding my skillset and
challenging myself with new
recipes (Foodgawker is like a black hole for me).
As much as I
love trying new desserts and
challenging recipes, it's hard to beat the classic chocolate chip cookie.
