I have
loved milk paint for thirty years and this post is a perfect example
of why.
I
painted it in a
paint product I was testing out, but the pale blue color was blending into the wall and I really wanted the character that I
love so much from
milk paint, so I slapped on a coat
of Boxwood one morning.
I
love the way the dresser turned out.The
milk paint looks so much better than ordinary
paint and I really appreciate the fact that you hand
painted the design on the drawers instead
of stenciling them.
There are lots
of abstract painters around at the moment who
love this stuff, and who are
milking it, and bit by bit, unambitiously hollowing out abstract
painting until it is borderline meaningless.
I
love how some
of the holes in the metal part underneath are still showing, and the way the
milk paint created a crackled effect in different places while it was drying.
