I love a soft warm gray paint on the walls, white trim, dark or warm toned antique furniture like Chippendale, Queen Anne or Federal style pieces (I'm not afraid to paint or reupholster a great thrifted find or an heirloom piece either), warm hardwood floors covered with a sisal rug, a great classic shaped white or natural linen slip - covered sofa (washable since I have 2 toddler boys!)
We had to move our DIY Bench to the porch (because my boys kept knocking it over inside), but I love the look of it here!Greenery and white ribbon.
I'm not sure (as much as I love them) that white slipcovers are the right thing right now with 9 yr old twin boys and a 20 month old baby girl!!!
Little late but oh well... I seriously love the white, had them for awhile and got rid of them cause they shrunk quite a bit (IKEA Ektorp ones) but am so thinking of reording them as I just LOVED the way they look yes I have 4 children (ok so two boys as home) and 3 dogs, but still....
I love the fresh white, but with three boys, I am hesitant to use white but on trim, tile and cabinetry.
