Hi Ella, I've just bought your book and have tried a couple of
recipes which where
lovely however I need to invest in a food processor so was just woundering what to look for with regards to Watt / blades and speed ect especially for the Medjool dates as they can get stuck
on blades!
Also had a big store cupboard shop including lots of
lovely glass jars — my cupboard looks like it's had a gorgeous makeover I'm having an op to remove my gallbladder Tuesday and I know your

Thanks Michelle, I actually cooked up a batch of onion and coriander soup based
on your
recipe with a few alterations; I didn't use butter (you just have to prolong the initial cooking time) and instead of the croutons / cheese I added a stonking huge amount of fresh coriander leaf chopped up and ate it with some
lovely salt - crusted bread.
I picked up a couple of big,
lovely eggplants at the farmer's market, found a
recipe online for a baked version (usually if I can bake something versus frying it, it's
on,) and set about stepping right out of my comfort zone and into the wide world of vegetarian cuisine.
This take
on pillowy ricotta dumplings is
lovely tossed with butter and rosemary, as called for in the
recipe, but can also be topped with a light tomato sauce or a sage - infused squash purée.
