This gluten - free pancake recipe with high - antioxidant,
low sugar berry syrup make a wonderful breakfast.
Not only are raspberries
the lowest sugar berry, they're full of filling fiber — just 1 cup has 6 grams.
You will notice that the raspberries are showing up in the store plumper, redder, and more luscious so do indulge in
these low sugar berries.
A low carb dieter's food generally consists of meats, cheeses, seafood, poultry, spices, leafy green vegetables, low starch vegetables (basically anything except potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots and peas),
low sugar berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, etc. — watch the portions), cheese, heavy cream, olive oil, coconut oil, butter (only real butter), eggs, pickles, olives, some nuts, some alternative sweeteners (we'll get into that later) and other fats.
Blackberry season is about the same time as peach season (late spring / summer), and
these low sugar berries are bursting with vitamin C, fiber and cancer - fighting antioxidants.

Nutritional benefit: These antioxidant - rich
berries have the power to
lower blood
sugar, making them an especially sweet treat if you're diabetic or trying to lose weight.
But
berries also have among the highest antioxidant ratings of all fruits — not to mention they're
lower in
sugar than most.
The
lowest, Cacao Brownie, still delivers a whopping 36 grams
sugar per 100g and the highest, Mixed
Berries, a scale busting 40 grams!

low on the glycemic index,

sugar, and are extremely good sources of fiber along with antioxidants.
