There's lots of different things they do on Papa
time - this week has included a lot of baseball; a lot of dirty clothes; a little more
time in the woods; nachos for
lunch; trying to solve the Rubix Cube (I think Calvin's going to
walk around muttering, «clockwise, clockwise, counterclockwise» until he solves it), and a healthy dose of You Tube too - this week, introducing the kids to the wonders of The Electric Company -(Knock Knock Rock, and One Word Comes After Another are the most requested around here - because Morgan Freeman is groovy).
Likewise, make sure to schedule family
time into your workday, perhaps feeding your baby, joining your older kids for
lunch, or taking a
walk together.
If my son's hands are full (with his
walking sticks) that is an appropriate
time to offer to carry his
lunch tray.
Taking
time to
walk during
lunch breaks or after dinner helps an Aquarius with circulation and also to clear her mind.
I'm the kind of person who starts thinking about
lunch while loading the dishwasher with my breakfast bowl; the kind whose NYC tour when family and friends come to town consists of a string of food shops and restaurants, with a bit of
walking in between (true story: The first
time he came to visit, my dad had to remind me that he was also interested in the Statue of Liberty and Central Park).
Lunches were an hour and a half long, but it was an important
time to just go for a
walk, step away from the mental work and tune out.
Whether it's coffee,

time that is hard is a good thing; I just have to make the effort to solidify plans.

I also like to go for a brisk
walk at
lunch time to clear my head and get my blood pumping again ready for the afternoon ahead.
Maybe it means listening to music for 15 minutes while you eat breakfast instead of checking e-mail, maybe it means shutting off your BlackBerry after work so you can take some
time to make a healthy
lunch for the next day, maybe it means taking a 10 minute
