Project Produce is a grant program sponsored by Healthy Skoop and the Walmart Foundation which helps schools increase kids» access to fresh
fruits and veggies and provides nutrition education through fun,
lunchroom learning activities.
Leading the charge to roll back the regulations was none other than the SNA, whose constituents are now dishing out the
fruits, vegetables and whole grains required by law in school
lunchrooms across the nation.
Researchers in Cincinnati tested this plan in one city school's
lunchroom by posting green smiley faces alongside the most nutritious foods:
