Taken together, this suggests that SRP - 6 protects worm cells against
lysosome rupture and necrosis, the scientists conclude in the 21 September issue of Cell.
And if something can't be broken down in the
lysosome, there's nowhere else for it to go: it just stays there until either the
lysosome disastrously
ruptures, or the cell itself is destroyed.
