Maca powder definitely doesn't taste like vanilla!
However, what most people don't realise is that baobab powder has more than 1.5 times more calcium, gram - per - gram, than
maca powder; not just that, but it has over 3.5 times the amount of calcium than in milk!
SO I basically
did what any child would
do and took the classical pairing of strawberry and banana to mask the flavor of the
Maca and couldn't be more pleased.
I made a big protein smoothie with frozen banana, frozen berries,
maca, barley - grass, chlorella, cinnamon and 1 1/2 scoops of natural Sunwarrior warrior blend - I don't like the taste of this one on its own, but it's fine in smoothies that sweeten it.
If you don't have either of these super foods on hand you can omit the
maca powder and substitute cocoa powder for cacao - it will still be super tasty!
If you want
maca to affect, don't take less than 1500 mg.
