Our guests this week were all big fans of

macro dive sites and all the night dives this week which were packed full of interesting
critters — the highlights were a pair of roughsnout ghostpipefish, juvenile flamboyant cuttlefish, numerous little frogfish, pughead pipefish, and an incredibly rare green and white hairy shrimp!

The Japanese shipwreck in Lipah Bay is quite a small wreck, but it's overgrown with corals in places, such as around the ship's propeller, with large gorgonian fans and sponges that have become playgrounds for schools of small reef fish, nudibranchs and varieties of other sea
critters that
macro photographers will love.
The
macro and muck diving is also very good with great chances of spotting rare
critters like Frog Fishes and Nudibranchs.
Macro lovers will be mesmerised with a huge variety of corals full of all kinds of
critters and small reef fish.
Great underwater scenery, and a great place for
macro photography — Living around the soft corals you can find
critters including pygmy seahorses, decorator crabs, and many small commensal species living with crinoids.
The night dive in Wagmab Wall II was, as usual, an opportunity for
critters hunting and spotting of
macro subjects.
Neverthelees, a few creatures spotted through the
macro lenses were the soft coral crab Hoplophrys oatesii, Zanzibar Whip Coral Shrimp and a other
critters, like the Orange - spotted Pipefish and a couple of different scorpionfishes.
Mandarin Valley dive site is a must dive for
macro and
critter lovers!
As it is usually the case in Raja Ampat, we spent our night dive looking for
macro subjects and
critters, and it did nt disappoint, as a few animals like Pontohi Pygmy Seahorse, Long Arms Octopus Marble Shrimp were seen in Sawandarek Jetty.
On top of that,
macro life and
critters were pointed out by our divemasters, like the Denise Pygmy Seahorse, Ringed Pipefish and also a couple of Wobbegong Sharks.
The site chosen was Wagmab Beach and it offered, as usual, an opportunity for
critters hunting and spotting of
macro subjects.
As it is usually the case on this site, plenty of
macro life and
critters were pointed out by our dive masters: Nudibranchs, like the Thecacera, Flabellina and Nembrotha, Reef Octopus, Bargibanti and Denise Pygmy Seahorse (including the color variation of the last specie that is found only on this region of the world), in between others, filled this dive with pleasant surprises.
Cannibal Rock is THE dive site for
macro and is a delight for
macro photographers and
critter hunters.
