do apologize, it wasn't my
goal to mess up anyone's
macros and I feel horrible.
The first thing you need to
do to start tracking your
macros is to figure out how many
macros you actually need to be eating to hit your
goals.
You don't need to worry about meeting a precise calorie
goal when you track
macros, as you'll get the calorie count you need simply by meeting your
macro goals.
If your
goal is fat loss, the major upside of counting calories and
macros is that, if
done correctly, it's virtually guaranteed to work.

They don't make it easy to adjust for your specific
macros (different fitties have different
goals, amiright?)
Whether you're a newbie or a pro whether you lift weights or
do cross fit, counting
macros will help you reach your
goals much more quickly.
Your exact
macro ratios within that will still vary depending on your
goals: like
do you want to be in keto AND lose weight, or be in keto and just maintain, and what's your activity level while in keto?
If your
goal does involve weight loss in ketosis, then you'll need to keep an eye on your carb limit, your
macros AND your calorie intake.
Uh — I don't add extra to really hit uh — any
macro goals these days --
(I find myfitnesspal isn't super accurate as I am often at my
goals macro wise but have calories left which makes no sense) I
do cardio 4 - 5x a week and two combo cardio / strength workouts a week.
So this holiday season, I'm choosing to
do something different — focus on that service not as a characteristic of my job, but as the
goal itself, the most
macro product of all.
I don't have my cool backsolver
macro here, it's at the office, but you can still make it work with Excel's
goal seek tool, which is pretty clunky but can work.
